How to start a Blog and earn a living

How do I start a blog
The blogging industry has boomed over the last decade, with more and more people turning to writing to make a living.
So how do you get started
Unfortunately most clients that come to us for help usually say the same thing. "I'm not a writer, I can't write, I don't know what to write about, etc.
Our advice is to start with something you have some interest in. Not only will this make the process easier, but you will enjoy writing about things you have an interest in, meaning your job will now be fun!
Picking your niche
You may have heard this word before. It simply means - category.
What's your blog going to be about?
What do you enjoy?
What are your interests?
At this stage it doesn't matter about how you're going to make money from it, we'll speak about this later.
For now just concentrate on writing down a list of niches that you find interesting, can be updated with new content, a niche where potentially down the line you can write a book (yes a book and it's simpler than you thought, sign up to our newsletter to find out when this free course is available here).
Once you have picked your niche we need to pick a domain name. We have found the best site to use is Namecheap, but you can use whatever one you wish. You want to pick a name that is memorable, easy to spell and can also be a potential key word.

After we've picked all of this, it's now time to make our site.
What platform do you want to use?
Wix?
There are so many out there and all have there own pros and cons. Your Money Site use Wix to host our site. Why? Because it has a blog section, shop section, website along with hundreds of apps which is what we needed when we first started. However, our free SEO eBook uses Wordpress to walk you through setting up your blog.
What pages are you going to incorporate?
Well you're going to need -
• Home page
• About is page
• Shop if you wish to sell
• Provicy policy
• Terms & Conditions
• Blog
Once we have our pages set up we want to start making money!
There are many ways to make money with your blog -
• Monetisation (adverts)
• Affiliations
• YouTube averts
• Selling your own products
• Pay per call
And more.
Once you start writing your blog posts, you can add adverts and the like to start churning revenue.
The most important section is to create an email list as this will be used to communicate with your users as well as advising and selling products that they are interested in.
How to advertise
There are so many ways to advertise online and when starting this journey most entrepreneurs have little or no money to throw at advertising.

Our advice is to start with social media. Social media is booming right now and is a great way to start gaining fans and engaging with users that like your posts and content.
Then all you have to do is maintain you site and continue to advertise and add new content.
It's best to add content at least once a week. If you can do not that's great.
Most entrepreneurs that start out on this journey only fail because they give up after not seeing money flood in.
They see it as a waist of time!
