Maintaining Customers

Maintaining customers is a must in the business world.

A returning customer is already established with your business and or brand. Your customers are more likely to come back to you for more products, advice or a service if they had a good experience the first time.

Your customers are also walking adverts for you.

It is imperative that you give your customers all they desire when they have visited your site or purchased from you.

Without customers you have no business!

Keep your customers up to date with new blog post / products and or service that are new to your site. You can do this through social media, an advert placed on YouTube or through subscription to your email service.

Remember, your business has a 60% - 70% chance of selling to an existing customer compared to 5% - 20% for a new customer.

Tips on how to maintain customers

Communication - Engage with your customer through social media, comments section on your site or feedback. Listen to what they have to say, any changes they would like to see made, and any queries they have. Implement them. Your customers are the backbone of your business, showing them that you care is essential!

Be real! - Tell the truth! Honesty is your best policy when running a business. It is better to communicate with your customers if you are having a problem than to go silent on them. If your stock is late or missing or your going on holiday, let them know.

Go beyond for your customers - Provide something that is extra and free, be it phone support, a free gift with their order, loyalty points etc.

Learn your niche! - Whatever you choose to sell, affiliate or provide service for remember to learn your craft. Customers who come to you need to know you have some knowledge of what your are offering. If they ask any questions you need to be able to answer to the best of your ability.
