Things to look out for -

  • It is advised to find a mentor as early as you can if you choose a business path that you have no experience in.

  • Having a business plan is great but without the proper guidance or support from a professional that has already walked the path, you may find you waist money and take longer to complete certain milestones because of your lack of experience.

  • Ask your mentor everything, don't be shy! They have been where you are and are not there to judge. Even if you think the question is silly, ask what you need to ask to get the job completed.

The Government have very useful advice for sole traders and limited companies. They advise on everything  from registering your business to becoming and employer and paying tax and hr info.
