When starting out in the online marketing world you might start to think that this entrepreneurial thing is not as easy as you thought!

Your making your website and getting the hang of it, but now you need a logo, banners for your slide show, stock pictures, favicon etc... There are money saving ways to make your website look great and professional without breaking the bank! How to use Freelancer Freelancer is a website you can use to get the work you need done by an array of Freelancers at competitive prices. If your no good at creating things yourself using Adobe Photoshop and the like and would like a more professional look then Freelancer could be the solution! Instead of scrawling through thousands of profiles and picking the best Freelancer to use, like you would when using Fiverr, you have the option to post your jobs and have Freelancers offer quotations by bidding on your job.

Once bidding has ended, you can then start scrolling through each Freelancer and comparing the price, feedback etc so the process is a bit simpler. Bidding on your work are Freelancers who have experience in this area. You can even look through their previous work (if they have this available or a portfolio). First signup for an account with Freelancer, you can do this via email or Facebook.

During signup you are given the option to hire a Freelancer or to work as a Freelancer. If you want to work as well as hire you will need to create a profile and gain some feedback to attract new and more customers. This may seem difficult with the amount of highly skilled Freelancers offering their services and bidding for work against you, but fear not there are other options you can apply to increase your feedback. Apply to contests (where alongside other Freelancers you compete the work the customer has requested and send it to the customer for them to pick their choice and pay the winner. Upload, or have your portfolio on you bio. Contact the customer directly when bidding with a quotation and advise them that although you are new to Freelancer, you have the necessary skills to complete to job at the highest, professional standard possible (with evidence directing them to your portfolio) and that, because you're new to Freelancer, you'll offer them half price off their best quote, or a discounted rate (be honest, tell them it is so you can start building feedback, they may higher you just for this reason if your portfolio is what they're looking for). How to post a job to Freelancer After sign up and confirmation of your email you can the start browsing through different category's regarding your job. Another great idea, is to post a job and let Freelancers bid for work. What does this mean? Basically, once logged in, you'll see the 'Post a Project' button. From there you have 9 options:

Website Graphic Design Software Data Entry Mobile Writing Contest Local jobs Custom project After selecting your category, add detail about your job to the relevant sections.

Try to include as much information as possible so the right Freelancers can bid on your work. Once bidding has ended, scroll through each Freelancer and read through their messages, bios, price requested and portfolio. You may find you have selected a Freelancer before bidding has ended. If this happens you can award your Freelancer the job so bidding can stop.

The next stage is to wait for your job to be completed. After completion, check through the work and ask for any edits if necessary. Once you are happy, close the project, pay and leave appropriate feedback for your Freelancer. That's it! Quite simple when you get your head round it.
