What is Market Research?
Brands and products need market research to improve their products in relation to their customers wants.
Market research is when the manufacturer asks the consumer questions about a specific product to find out their views, they then use these views and correlate the results to see what the consumer thinks about the products and applies any changes if need be to improve the product.
For your views a market research firm will pay well and usually averages around £40 for about an hour which takes place within a group.
Market research varies and can be anything from a focus group (sometimes videoed) to filling out information about your weekly activities and submitting the details online along with visiting shops and talking about different products.

Things to look out for
Don't lie on you application, you might trip up when in the focus group and if caught will be banned from any future groups.

Don't be overly enthusiastic! The market researches do not want to see a show, they want your honest opinion ,even if it goes against the majority!
Always check your fee before you leave the building. You usually get paid via cash that is handed to you at the end of the meting in an envelope. Before you leave the building, open it and check that your fee is correct.

To take part you must be a healthy (including smokers and non smokers) 18-75 year old male or female. If you have participated in a trial or given blood you have to wait 3 months before you can participate in another. If you have used recreational drugs such as cannabis you must wait 6 weeks before participation.
